Lauren received a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in Government, specializing in Pre-Law, with a minor in Strategic Intelligence. Lauren has subsequently earned two graduate degrees from American Military University, one in Homeland Security with a specialty in counterterrorism, and one in World History, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in both post-graduate programs. Upon graduation from University, Lauren began her civil service career with the U.S. Government, where she serves today.
Lauren has served in multiple capacities for the Department of Defense. She first operated as a federal police officer for five years, serving as the first-line of defense against acts of terrorism, espionage, and crime. Lauren received her Federal Police Officer Certification from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia. In this role, Lauren also conducted investigations on multiple security breaches and criminal violations.
Lauren then transitioned to an Insider Threat Security Analyst position where she primarily utilized government software programs and open-source analysis to uncover potential threats to government systems, and reveal possible insider threat activity. In this role, Lauren became familiar with data transfer activities, anomaly detection analysis, and the application of critical path analysis to assess insider threats. Through her work as an Insider Threat Analyst, Lauren collaborated extensively with internal and external partners to support counterintelligence investigations.
Currently, Lauren operates as a Strategic Communications Officer for the Department of Defense, where she provides communication support and establishes strong customer partnerships to ensure the alignment of mission strategies and goals. The division she supports secures the nation through integrated and innovative analysis, providing cryptologic insights with integrity and strict adherence to the law.
