RYAN ANDERSON

Ryan Anderson is a career law enforcement officer who has served primarily in the US Intelligence Community supporting counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, and threat management efforts designed to protect personnel, facilities, and information. He is a distinguished graduate from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA in both the Uniformed Police and Criminal Investigator Training Programs having received the “Top Shooter” and "Academic" Awards in his graduating classes.
Mr. Anderson has served as an interagency liaison to The US Marshals Service, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI Washington Field Office's, Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), where he served for nearly 4 years as a deputized Task Force Agent. While on JTTF, he was charged with investigating and mitigating potential threats in the Middle East and Washington DC Metro Area. He has worked as a Team Lead in numerous operational and training centered capacities to include Surveillance, Operational Planning, Threat Management, Defensive Tactics as an Instructor Trainer, Firearms, and designed numerous high-visibility training programs which garnered attention and participation of multiple partner agencies.
Mr. Anderson has supported security operations in various roles worldwide to include designated war zones. He also achieved his formal endorsement as an Intelligence Educator serving as a Program Manager and leading numerous curriculum design initiatives.
He also served on the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Team and, throughout his career, has conducted thousands of subject interviews of individuals who expressed unwanted/threatening direction of interest in the US Government, identified protected persons, or who were suspected of having committed violations of federal or state law. In that time, he received 12 Excellent Performance Awards and Commendations for his service and contributions to the mission.
Mr. Anderson has also received extensive training in social media collection and exploitation, intelligence analysis, and cyber operations. He has completed numerous courses in international interviewing and elicitation, behavioral pattern recognition, stress reflex indicators, advanced tactics and counter suicide bomber operations. He is a certified Crisis Intervention Instructor for Law Enforcement in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Prior to Mr. Anderson's civil service career, he had the opportunity to work with victims of domestic violence and disabled youth in both staff and volunteer roles, where he first developed a passion for mentoring and assisting those in need of support and protection.
He later spent more than two years serving in the mission field as a volunteer in various impoverished and crime ridden areas in South America where he learned to speak Portuguese fluently. While deployed on the mission, he was exposed to the terrible reality of those subjected to a life of fear of potential violence. This insight allowed him to better understand predatory psychology and the associated circle of violent confrontational behaviors. This experience further solidified his passion for serving and protecting those who need it most. This is the same passion that has carried over to his current work for the clients of Overwatch Security.
